BIO
Erin Calamari-Kirwan is a Boston-area artist, photographer, and educator. She finds beauty in the world around her and uses art as a form of expression, communication, mindfulness, and play. Following her graduation from Boston University's College of Fine Arts, Erin began teaching and inspiring young creatives at the Winsor School in Boston. Throughout her illustrious teaching career, Erin has mentored numerous students who were recognized at the national level in the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, and in 2019, Erin was awarded the school's Pennypacker Prize for her inspirational efforts. Her artwork has been featured in several galleries and exhibits throughout New England and many of her pieces live in private collections throughout the United States. A recent photograph "The Old Kitchen Pantry" was added to the Permanent Collection of Chateau d'Orquevaux International Artists & Writers Collection and will be hung in Galerie Diderot Chateau in Orquevaux, France.
Erin was born and raised in Chester, CT, and calls New England her home. She currently lives and has a studio in Wakefield, MA with her wife and two dogs.
